About All Souls'
All Souls' Episcopal Church is a group of believers dedicated to following Jesus' teachings and sharing His love. We believe that Jesus, God-with-us, is revealed to us in Scripture, and continues to be revealed to us through the working of the Holy Spirit. We believe what we say in the Nicene Creed and what we pray in The Book of Common Prayer. And we believe that a faithful understanding of God is always growing, always evolving, always seeking deeper truth.
Our mission is to spread God's love and help our neighbors (near and far) in compassion, understanding, with kindness and generosity. We welcome everyone to join us for worship and friendship, no matter their background or beliefs. We welcome home all God's creatures and share the peace that awaits them.

Brief Church History
All Souls' history begins in 1947 when, during the post-war years that saw San Diego boom, this parish was founded as a mission (a start-up), meeting in a dance studio and using items that other churches had donated for weekly worship. Soon we found a permanent home at the intersection of Chatsworth and Catalina and began meeting in a surplus Army chapel that we purchased for $475. (It was later relocated to SDSU.) All Souls' became an official parish in 1954. Our church hall was built in 1952, our Sunday school and office building in 1957, and our current church-- designed by Robert Moser, who also designed the Coronado Bridge-- was dedicated in 1969. We built our columbarium (a resting place for loved ones' cremated remains) in 1970.
Over the years, under the leadership of several priests and deacons, All Souls' has raised, nurtured and tended to the spiritual growth of generations of San Diegans; and has served our neighbors in varieties of ways, from sponsoring Scout troops, hosting AA and Al Anon meetings and putting on our annual Christmas Marketplace (formerly , the Home Tour) to feeding the hungry in Ocean Beach, caring for the men and women in our armed forces and providing Christmas gifts for children in Tijuana. Specific programs have come and gone... particular ministries have been born, flourished and faded away. But one constant in our more than 75-year history is our worship of, and service for, God's Son, who taught us to love God and love our neighbor as we would like to be loved ourselves.
Our Campus
Nestled in San Diego's Point Loma neighborhood, All Souls' is celebrated for its striking mid-century church architecture. Our campus includes three buildings and diverse spaces that contribute to our ministries and worship experiences. Our nave is beautified by the presence of a beautiful stained-glass window by the late well-known local artist James Hubbell, behind the Altar.
